Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit
The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit stands as the esteemed venue for premier motorsport competitions worldwide, such as the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix and the Superbike World Championship, alongside various Australian racing series.
Motor racing’s roots on Phillip Island trace back to 1928 when local roads were sectioned off for racing endeavours. In 1989, Phillip Island hosted Australia’s inaugural International Motorcycle Grand Prix, a resounding success notably claimed by Aussie Wayne Gardner. Shortly after, the Superbike World Championship found its home on the island in 1990.
In 2004, the circuit transformed with its acquisition by the Linfox Property Group, ushering in significant investments to elevate its stature as a world-class destination.
Today, the circuit remains a hub of activity, hosting numerous public events annually and accommodating a wide range of activities year-round, from drive/ride days and testing to club sprints and media launches.
